The World Baden-Powell Fellowship

Join us!

The Baden-Powell Fellowship, established on 25 April 1982 in Kolmaarden (Sweden), recognises individuals for their contributions to the World Scout Foundation to help support Scouting and unites them in a global network. Fellowship receptions and other events are periodically held in different parts of the world and online to both inform members about Scouting and to welcome new members who are personally awarded a special insignia by His Majesty The King of Sweden.

The Fellowship provides a lifetime association with the Scout Movement and with businesses, governments and Scouting leaders who share the same ideals. Joining and participating, especially when you have been a Scout—although this is not a requirement—offers the greatest reward in being involved in the development of young people around the world. And, in addition, members of all ages get to connect with other passionate supporters from this incredible network of over 2000 Baden-Powell or BP Fellows!

The BP Fellowship recognises different levels of donation beginning at USD 10,000 for adults and USD 1000 for Young BP Fellows. There are also many ways for you to donate, in line with your preferences, means and motivations.

There are currently over 2500 Fellows spread throughout 80 countries and territories around the world. More substantial donations entitle members to join the Honours Programme and those who make a financial commitment to Scouting in their Last Will and Testament are recognised in The Founder’s Heritage.

Included in the Fellowship are around 180 Young BP Fellows, who support Scouting at a rate appropriate to their means starting from a young age and who participate in Fellowship events and other activities as part of a dedicated programme to both engage and support young philanthropy. Young BP Fellows join via various routes: on their own initiative; gifted by a parent, grandparent or other family member; or sponsored by another BP Fellow.

For full details on the Young BP Fellows’ programme, including information on joining or for people wishing to sponsor a young person to become a Young BP Fellow, plus membership benefits and flexible ways of donating, please see our dedicated pages for Young BP Fellows.
