Young Baden-Powell Fellows' Networking Weekend 2020 - Cancelled

Date range

Update 16 January 2020: Unfortunately, there was little interest for the Kandersteg weekend despite earlier indications and various enquiries, so the event has been cancelled. We’re grateful to KISC for their willingness to host and hope there might be another possibility in the future.

We hope this means that YBPF will be excited to get involved the special YBPF Programme at the upcoming 2020 WSF Investor Conference & 74th BP Fellowship Event in Dublin, 16–19 April 2020. Detailed information coming soon!

International Scout Centre (KISC) will once again welcome Young Baden-Powell Fellows from 7 to 9 February 2020 for a weekend of informal networking, skiing, sledging and fondue! Join in if you want to get to know other Young BP Fellows, share ideas on how you can make the most of your role and support great Scout projects, and enjoy some winter activities in the beautiful World Scout Centre.

Don’t hesitate, sign up today! Registration deadline: 14 January 2020.

The cost of the weekend is 174CHF, which includes:

  •     2 nights’ accommodation and tax
  •     Breakfast at the centre on 8 and 9 February
  •     Dinner at the centre on 7 and 8 February. On 8 February, dinner will be a fondue.
  •     A 50CHF donation to the KISC Staff Solidarity Fund to bring Scouts from far away countries to volunteer at KISC. This donation will be counted towards your upgrading to a full BP Fellowship over time.

What is not included is the cost of ski lifts and equipment rental, as this may vary from person to person. Participants must also have their own insurance.

A number of rooms have been reserved in the KanderLodge, available on a first come, first served basis. Bookings must be made directly with KISC (click here). Please use the following special promotional code when booking: YBP20
