HRH the Grand Duke of Luxembourg’s First UN Address: Why Scouting Matters

“[Scouting] taught me something absolutely fundamental. Placing our trust in young people means giving them responsibilities.” 

⚜️ In his first-ever address at the United Nations, HRH the Grand Duke of Luxembourg reflected on the fundamental lessons Scouting teaches us about leadership, solidarity, and empowering the next generation. To build a world centered on human values, we must give youth responsibilities and the space needed to act. HRH the Grand Duke is championing the Scouting Movement on the global stage in his new role as Honorary Chair of the World Scout Foundation. As a lifelong ambassador in the Scouting world, he is dedicated to ensuring that youth are trusted, heard, and ready to lead.
