Côte d'Ivoire Scouts answer hospital volunteer call

Over the New Year, Côte d’Ivoire Scouts from the Abijan-North Scout Area responded to an urgent call to volunteer at the University Hospital of Cocody (CHU), which needed to strengthen its numbers due to an increase in patients related to the end of year celebrations.

The Rover Scout volunteers helped transport the sick on stretchers, move the sick from one room to another and fill out and classify the administrative forms of patients admitted — all in strict compliance with the recommended safety precautions.

The Scouts aimed simply “to provide service, however possible, without expecting anything in return”. Their service was however massively appreciated and everyone involved was congratulated heartily from the Centre Director supervising for this impressive community service.
